As Program Manager (0,7 fte) you help build and extend the KIN center by developing and coordinating events and professional learning programs, and developing and executing our communication strategy. This is a hands-on and all-round job in a dynamic environment. You are able to make academic research on digital innovation available to a broad audience. You easily develop various kinds of content (e.g. news items, blogs, event outlines) for diverse channels (e.g. website, newsletter, twitter, advertisements). In this role you are also expected to initiate new programs, and create a network with external stakeholders. You will work in a dynamic environment and need to stay abreast of what is happening in the field of digital innovation within the context of public and private organizations. Getting things done is what makes you tick. You will collaborate closely with the Director of the KIN Center for Digital Innovation and the Research & Valorisation Manager as well as the 35 other researchers of the Center.


Main responsibilities:


  1. Manager Professional Learning Programs & Events


You are fully responsible for the management of the professional learning programs (e.g. master classes, in-house programs, talent event) that the KIN Center for Digital Innovation offers. You will manage the development of our programs in collaboration with our researchers. You will also arrange the practicalities, in cooperation with (student) assistants and serve as main point of contact for our participants. You are responsible for keeping an overview of all active projects, informing relevant stakeholders (e.g. professors and clients), and managing the administration. You proactively look for new business opportunities, develop new types of events and mobilise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.


  1. Marketing & Communication


You are coordinating all marketing and communication activities of the KIN Center for Digital Innovation. You develop marketing campaigns for professional learning programs and are the main point of contact for the external media agency. You keep track of and process news items and events. You create and coordinate content for our online channels (website, LinkedIN, Twitter) and write our monthly newsletter.




  • Masters degree in business administration, organisation studies, innovation management, communication, marketing, media studies, or related areas
  • 2-4 years of working experience, preferably in an organizational digital innovation context
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Affinity with digital innovation
  • Fluent in English and preferably Dutch
  • You are proactive, well organized, and flexible
  • Good communication skills and good networking skills
  • Basic skills (to learn) to use Adobe Creative Cloud



The salary is in line with the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities (CAO-VSNU), salary scale 10, €2.640 – € 4166,– gross per month with a full time employment contract.
